Original Steak Sauce
Fire Brand Original Steak Sauce is the only
sauce we let touch our steaks around here. Whether we’re cooking
New York strip steaks, Ribeye steaks, t-bone, porterhouse, filet mignon,
tri-tip or sirloin, we top it off with a little Fire Brand Original
Steak Sauce. Whenever we get a chance to pick up some flank steak,
eye of round, or chuck steak we tenderize it with a bold steak marinade
recipe made by adding a little water or beer to some Fire Brand sauce
and putting it all in a resealable plastic bag overnight.
The Fire Brand Steak Sauce
recipe is bold, thick and delicious with a distinctive peppery flavor.
Fig concentrate, molasses, and brown sugar give this sauce just enough
sweetness to really bring out the flavor of grilled beef. The boldness
comes from black pepper and chipotle along with natural hickory for
a touch of smoke. It’s
the ideal steak sauce recipe for any cut of beef and it pairs perfectly
with any red wine.
Ingredients: ketchup, molasses, cider vinegar, fig concentrate, brown sugar, water, garlic, dehydrated onion, spices (including chipotle pepper, black pepper), salt, natural hickory seasoning.
Fire Brand Steak Marinade Recipe:
4 pound London Broil (or top
round steak 1-2” thick)
1 cup of Fire Brand Original Steak Sauce
1/2 cup of water
1/4 cup of red wine (use a bold wine, not fruity)
1 teaspoon of sea salt
Prepare the beef by cutting small diagonal slits in a cross-hatch pattern
on one side then pounding to tenderize on the other. To make steak marinade
recipe mix Fire Brand Steak Sauce, water, wine, and salt in a small pan
over low heat and simmer. Reduce sauce slightly to blend the flavors
then pour the steak sauce recipe over the meat in a shallow pan and cover
overnight in the refrigerator.
Grill over medium heat and serve medium rare to medium. Be sure to slice
against the grain so every bite is more tender.
